Desktop header gone from time to time

Hi,

Since a couple of months the header on our shop keeps disappearing on some of the pages.

We have WP Rocket installed for caching. If we login and empty all caches and activate preloading again the header returns to normal for those pages. While that may seem a solution, it’s not. Because it’s happening frequently.

I’m following this thread because we’re having the EXACT same problem on our site. This has been happening since December.

It’s hard to reproduce because this happens from time to time, as the friend described above.

I didn’t open a ticket for this earlier, because it’s a hard problem to explain and reproduce, as it’s random when the Header disappears.
I also use the WP Rocket plugin.

Today the problem happened again, twice. So I came on the forum and found this topic.

I’ll keep track of the solution to the problem, because if you can solve it for him, the solution will probably be the same for me.

Hello,

Please navigate to Theme Settings -> Performance -> Other -> turn off the “Mobile DOM optimization (experimental)” option. It is an experimental option so in some cases, it can affect the desktop’s header.

Then clear the cache on your website/browser and test it again.
