    Hello,

I previously posted about my website having a very low speed score (https://xtemos.com/forums/topic/website-speed-issues-3/) and still haven’t been able to resolve the problem of the low website score. I want to know if my current website can be switched to the Gutenberg editor.

Is there any difference in usage between the Gutenberg editor and Elementor? Does Gutenberg have all the blocks that Elementor has?

Is WoodMart’s compatibility with the Gutenberg editor as high as it is with Elementor?

    Hello,

We’ve answered your questions in a separate topic. If you have any more questions, you can continue the conversation there.

Regarding the Gutenberg builder, yes, our theme fully supports it. All the blocks are available, so you can create your website without using Elementor at all.

    Kind Regards

    Hello, Artem Temos

I’d like to know how to switch from Elementor (which I’m currently using) to Gutenberg. Is there an official tutorial for this?

    Hello

I’d like to know how to smoothly switch from Elementor to Gutenberg.

I don’t want to reinstall WordPress and reconfigure everything, as that would take a lot of time. Is it possible to switch theme editors directly with WoodMart? I understand that switching editors will invalidate previous Elementor settings, but that’s okay; I can reconfigure them myself.

    Hello,

I have reviewed the tutorial on switching editors (https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/how-to-use-gutenberg-with-woodmart/), but after testing, I found that my product pages, homepage, and other pages are still using the Elementor editor, and it cannot be converted.

I would like to know how I can completely uninstall WoodMart and then reinstall and configure it. My goal is to select Gutenberg during the reinstallation process.

    Hi,

You don’t need to reinstall WordPress to switch. There is no automatic way to convert Elementor pages to Gutenberg, so you will need to recreate your pages with Gutenberg blocks.

    Switch on your current site:
    1) Go to Theme Settings -> Other:
    – Set Current builder to Gutenberg
    – Enable Gutenberg blocks
    – Enable Gutenberg editor for products (if you want to edit product descriptions in Gutenberg)
    2) Deactivate and remove Elementor and any Elementor add-ons to prevent Elementor from loading.
    3) Rebuild your pages with Gutenberg. If you want starting points, go to WoodMart -> Prebuilt Websites and import a Gutenberg-based demo or use the Additional Pages tab. Prebuilt content is tied to the selected builder, so set Gutenberg first.

    Notes
    – WoodMart works with one page builder at a time. Switching builders later requires rebuilding content.
    – Your posts/products remain in the database; only Elementor-based page content/templates need to be recreated in Gutenberg.

    Kind Regards

Should I, as shown in the image, first remove the existing Elementor theme, then activate Gutenberg, and finally import the new preset theme? My goal is to customize the theme styles by importing the new preset Gutenberg theme.

Alternatively, can I completely uninstall WoodMart and Elementor, then reinstall WoodMart, and follow the setup wizard to reinstall and import the preset Gutenberg theme? (With this method, is it sufficient to simply uninstall the WoodMart theme and reinstall it?)

    Hello,

Yes, you can remove old dummy content and import new one for Gutenberg. The algorithm is the following:

    1. Remove old dummy content.

    2. Switch to Gutenberg in Theme Settings -> Other.

    3. Import the dummy content.

If you prefer, you can uninstall WoodMart and reinstall it to run the Setup Wizard again and choose Gutenberg in the Page builder step. This is sufficient to select Gutenberg, but it is not required; the steps above achieve the same result on your current installation. Reinstalling the theme does not convert existing Elementor content—you will still need to rebuild pages in Gutenberg.

    Kind Regards
