I’ve created a “Category page” layout from the Layout builder as I needed to show only 5 columns of “Subcategories” on most of the categories pages without showing products with some custom styles etc. (just subcategories columns).

The issue is here, if we add “Product categories” element to achieve this customization, it does showing duplicated subcategories when we select “Subcategories” from the “Display type” from the each categories. Because there is no other option to select and all other Display Type options below shows products.

    Display type:
    Standard
    Products
    Subcategories
    Both

Is there any way to hide duplicated subcategories from this layout? (I believe other one pulling from the default Woocommerce subcategories).

    Best regards,
    Berke

I guess it would be very helpful if we can have select a “Layouts” from the each “Products > Categories” in Woocommerce section. So, we can show custom layout in Categories pages.

    Thanks for your reply!

Basically, I need to show subcategories in a 5 columns in some categories pages (please see attached).
But I don’t want this settings to affect Products columns. Currently if I set this to 5 columns, Products will show in 5 columns also.

So, I need to keep Subcategories in 5 columns but Products in 4 columns. Just trying to figure out how we can do this.

    Best regards

    Hi manuelayar,

I didn’t see the screenshot. You can use https://prnt.sc/ to capture and generate link, then share it here.

    Hi manuelayar,

First of all, I am appreciate your patience.

I kindly recommend you to use Custom Product layout, which is built with WoodMart WooCommerce builder, and you can set condition Product categories only https://ibb.co/Txr49yBV

Further, you can read more about the Layout Builder here: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/woodmart-woocommerce-layout-builder/ andHTML Blocks https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/html-blocks-usage/

Actually, this way doesn’t help. Because if we set Products 4 columns on “Archive products” element it does affect to “Product categories” also. There is no option to set Category thumbnails columns to 5 on “Product categories” element. So, we cannot set different amount of columns between Categories and Products unfortunately.

Also, when we add “Product categories” from the Elements widgets, it does showing duplicated subcategories because as I said before it does loading default Woocommerce categories.

In that case, it looks like we need to find a way to add custom coding to show Woocommerce default subcategories columns different than products.
