    Hi there,

I want to translate website to Dutch, which still contains a lot of English words. But the Dutch PO file I generated in Loco Translate only shows 4 strings to translate. I already synced and both the WP language and Loco Translate is on normal ‘Dutch’.

    What could go wrong here?

    Regard,
    Stefan

    Hi stefan-1368,

    Thanks for details.

I checked your site and realized you did not sync strings. I helped you to do that, now you can try to translate again.

Also, please make sure you translated WooCommerce plugin as well. You can refer to article https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/theme-translation/

    Hi there,

Thanks, I see more strings now. But, it has no translations in it at all. Also, it warns me that it could be overwritten when I update WordPress later on. Lastly, when I press ‘Sync’ again, it goes back to only the 4 strings I had before.

Aren’t there already Dutch translations available? Shouldn’t I sync it again? And how do I prevent the translations not being overwritten at a later moment?

    Like to hear!
    Stefan
