Error when editing Shop page with Elementor – the_content function missing

Hello WoodMart Support Team,

I am using the WoodMart theme and the Elementor page builder.

I am encountering an error when I try to edit the WooCommerce Shop page with Elementor. I have attached a screenshot of the error message below. The message says: “Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call the the_content function in the current template for Elementor to work on this page.”

I would appreciate your help on how to resolve this issue.

Is there a setting within the WoodMart theme options that can fix this?

Does this issue require a manual code change in a theme template file (e.g., adding the the_content function)? If so, which file and how should I make this change?

What is the recommended method for editing the Shop page using Elementor with your theme?

The default Shop page is not editable via page builders. If you want to customize the Shop/Archive page, use our Layouts builder, more details on how to use that are here – https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/woodmart-woocommerce-layout-builder/
