If the product is simple, then when it ends – the “out of stock” icon appears, and if the product has variations and there, for example, 2 colors of the product and both are over – then the “out of stock” icon does NOT appear on the product card.
“Out of stock” icons will appear if all the variations are out of stock. When one of the variations is out of stock, you can see it on the product page, when you select this variation. This is Woocommerce functionality and Basel theme as well as any other themes do not influence that.
