whizzoenterprise10ParticipantHello,
Thank you so much for your response.
We have created portfolios as mentioned in our query. We need help with the direct project link. The only concern is how do we link it directly to the project than it going to the cover page and then again the user having to click on the project cover. The way its working in your link.Could you provide help guide?

whizzoenterprise10ParticipantExpected functionality: We want to display multiple Categories that can be filtered by their brand name. let\’s assume there are 10 brands and each of them have 5 categories; On the cover page, we want to display the categories on the body of the page and the filters are their brand names. So when I filter brand 1, I see 5 categories and each of the categories links to the product page.
Demo: https://stage.hexa-gt.com/project-cat/kawasaki/ is a category which has 2 motorcycles under them and we make parts for these 2 motorcycles. On the main page, we want to display all the motorcycles and the customer can click on the motorcycle to understand what all we make for it. in addition to these, the filter at the top also helps to drill down by brand.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
The portfolio is not the best solution for your purpose.
You can try the default Post Grid element of the WP bakery page builder https://gyazo.com/1b90f1f266da109ea89502d7d669da42
You can select any design in the design tab.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

whizzoenterprise10Participantwith the post grid options, you get the whole set of items linked to the parent category and that’s not desired. I want a cover page with the parent elements but when an user clicks it, the item from the parent category to show.
Please refer to this page.https://stage.hexa-gt.com/shop-by-motorcycle/
This is the Ui and the core functionality I wanted to build but the only thing missing is the filtering ability…how you have an option to filter the portfolios, that’s not available here.January 26, 2023 at 6:07 am #437885
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You can achieve the goal of showing categories in the shop page title. Please check this manual to field the options on how to configure: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/product-category-menu/
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

whizzoenterprise10ParticipantHi Elise,
Thank you for your response but somehow the said solution isn’t working well.. it shows icons/images in the banner whereas I want a filter of the categories.
Let me know explain.
assume I have 10 categories and I want to target showing one on this page (e.g. motorcycles). these have their child group (lets assume each have 2). E.g. I have 10 motorcycles (Honda, Kawasaki so on) & Honda has 2 models and so does Kawa.
I want to display all 4 models on the page and have the parent category i.e. Honda and Kawa on top. so when a user picks Kawa he gets the associated model.January 30, 2023 at 7:22 am #438828
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
“Show current category ancestors” allows for showing sub-categories and categories in the page title, for example, https://prnt.sc/sc853r-tYpN0
In addition, you can hide categories.
Alternatively, you can create any menu in Appearance > Menu and show it in any place of the site: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/adding-menu-to-the-site/
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

whizzoenterprise10ParticipantThis solution isn’t as elegant as the filterable gallery feature we are looking for. Anyways close this.
We had posted another query – https://xtemos.com/forums/topic/hide-additional-information-2/
we implemented the solution and it works for desktop but not for mobile. Can you please revise the solution and reshape?
Posting it here as we cannot post it on the original thread. You had responded it previously too.March 10, 2023 at 5:28 am #449904
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
I have renewed this thread: https://xtemos.com/forums/topic/hide-additional-information-2/ not to be confused.

whizzoenterprise10ParticipantThanks Elise for open the additional info thread. I have approved for closure of the same.’
With regards to the original topic of filterable gallery, we are looking at a gallery such as the one seen in the 3rd half of this page. https://www.sliderrevolution.com/examples/
There are plugins that do this but we want to do without one hence the thread.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
We will do our best to consider implementation, but at the same time we can not promise we will be able to implement that soon.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
