FontAwesome Icons not showing up (sometimes)

Hi there,

I’m facing an issue with the display of the FontAwesome icons – but only sometimes.

This is how it looks like:

What I did so far:

– Disabled caching plugin (Hummingbird Pro from WPMU Dev)
– Flushed all cookies locally

I also tried to run a complete external test (website test) using http://www.webpagetest.org. I was basically just interested in the screenshots this tool will generate while the bot visits my page.

Also here the icons are broken:

When I load the page, usually the icons are shown. But when I i.e. hold down “shift” and then reload the page (no caching) the icons disappear again. So it’s kind of an inconsistent behavior.

Is there any way how to fix it?

I guess I fixed it by setting “font-display” for icon fonts from “Optional” to “Disable”. Now I can’t reproduce it anymore.
