Google Ads and Cart Conflict

Dear Sir/Madame,

We are facing a really strange issue with one of our websites using your theme.
The problem has to do with links coming from google ad words into the website.
When we do these actions in this sequence ONLY:
Click on Google Ad—>Home Page—>Add Product to cart from Home Page—>View Cart
The cart emptys.

This occurs in any browser, in normal mode (not incognito). This does not occur if you browse the page and then add to cart items. This does not occur when you go in the page directly (typing the url) or from Google search results (not ads)

We tried contacting our hosting provider(KINSTA) as we thought it might be a caching problem but it was not.

We tried troubleshooting by removing /cart and /checkout cache, removing woocommerce cookies and finally disabling the page caching.

None of these worked.

Have you seen anything like that before?

Yes you are going from organic results and not Google Ads.
From organic it works.

I am attaching the print screen of the ad.
You get this when you type Ηλεκτρολογικό Υλικό on Google and the ad is restricted to Greece.
(thats why i told you to use VPN)

and also check page 2 or 3 in search results.

it might not always be page 1

Well its ok. You dont need it.

We managed to isolate the issue.

The advertisement uses an www version of the website.
Our default version of the website is non-www.

What we saw its that it sees the 2 versions of the pages as different websites, meaning that when it redirects from www to non-www it seems 2 different carts.

Its strange though as we use your theme same theme here (we really like it – thats why many licences) https://ladylingerie.gr/ and it works with no problem between www and non-www.

Any ideas?

ps. We are using same server, same settings, same SSL, same theme, and actually less plugins (only the default basel ones) in the site that has the problem.

ps2. Its not Google Ad related. It does this even if you type https://www.papantoniouelectric.gr/ . It sees it as a different website from https://papantoniouelectric.gr/

Could you please check how it works with default WooCommerce theme Storefront? https://wordpress.org/themes/storefront/

After several testing we found out that this problem was generic and it was an empty cart issue.

We solved this by redirecting the www version to the non-www.
