google maps not loading on contact us pages and general images not showing…

Hi, Great theme! congrats

I have installed the theme however when I try to load pages with google maps they don’t load properly. The page I’m talking about is https://woodmart.xtemos.com/contact-us-3/

When the page loads for a brief moment shows the map, but then turn into grey box saying (in spanish):

Se produjo un error.
Esta página no cargó bien Google Maps. Consulta la consola de JavaScript para obtener los detalles técnicos.

I have noticed when editing the page that is using the following google API key: AIzaSyAc7wnkTL45-LF9qrbaT-XLJn3AszvixZE

I am not familiar with this.. not sure if this key will work for my site or if I have to change and use a personal API key on my own.

Also I’ve noticed when installing theme there are many missing images, they are replaced by a standar image but not the ones shown on the demo. I wonder if this is normal? You can see this all over the home page (featured categories, product sections)

Please make sure API has been activated. Check the JS console for errors. You can read more in Google official documentation here: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#api-not-activated-map-error

As for the images: installing demo content doesn’t create a site that is an identical copy of our demo site because it has a big number of pages and images that takes to much time to complete.
Most images you see on our site are not included in our theme package and will not be imported.

Hello again I checked JS Console and see the following error:

RefererNotAllowedMapError Error
The current URL loading the Maps JavaScript API has not been added to the list of allowed referrers. Please check the referrer settings of your API key in the Google Cloud Platform Console.

What I understand is that the API key included with the theme (API key: AIzaSyAc7wnkTL45-LF9qrbaT-XLJn3AszvixZE) hasn’t my page url added as a valid referrer. But as this is not my own API KEY I can’t do anything.

Do you mean I have to own an API Key for this to work?
or is there a way so I can use google maps with the template I bought? Buying an API is not an option here.

You need to create Google API key and add your website URL as a valid referrer. It has a free quota per month.
