Thanks for reaching out. A “Download failed. Forbidden” during the theme update usually means the license token isn’t synchronized with the current domain or the server blocks the request to our update endpoint.
Please try these quick checks:
– Refresh the license token:
– Go to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Theme License and click Deactivate.
– Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click Check again.
– Return to WoodMart -> Theme License, activate with your purchase code, then retry the update from Appearance ->
Themes or Dashboard -> Updates.
– If the site was migrated or you’re using a staging/subdomain, remove old domain activations in your XTemos account (xtemos.com -> My account -> Purchase code activations), then activate again on the current domain.
As a safe workaround, you can update manually:
– Download the latest woodmart.zip from your ThemeForest account.
– WordPress: Appearance -> Themes -> Add New -> Upload Theme -> select woodmart.zip -> Install Now -> Replace current with uploaded.
– If upload is restricted, use FTP: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/upload-theme-with-ftp/
If the issue persists, please provide in the Private Content field:
– Website URL and a temporary WP admin account.
