HORIZONTAL SLIDING PRODUCT CATEGORY MENU – ON MOBILE DEVICE

Hi,

together we’ve already achieved to display the main product categories with icons to be displayed on desktop menu. Now we want to improve the user experience of our website for mobile devices. Therefore we would like the main product categories (+ icons) to appear in a sticky horizontal slider in a 3rd menu layer on mobile devices. It would of course be best when the horizontal product category slider could be sticky integrated in the mobile menu (to show the menu permanently), but if there’s a workaround it would be okay either. There are already some nice websites with integrated product category sliders, i attached you a link in the private section (pls watch out on mobile device).

You can achieve the goal with the Information Box carousel. You will create this carousel manually but it may have the view you need.

Where are you going to show the categories? Which page I mean.

the product categories in the horizontal product category slider menu should appear permanently and sticky when scrolling like it’s now on our desktop website, but not static rather horizontal ‘slideable’. It’s not possible to create this with the information box carousel, if you do so you can only see 1 category per slide, i want it to bee seamless as you can see in the screenshot above. Currently i only achieved it by using the theme’s ajax product tabs -> the problems are: it won’t be visible permanently and sticky in the menu, you can’t combine it with filters, etc…

Unfortunately, there is no option to do that, such a feature requires complicated customization that is not covered by our support.
