How do I get rid of the categories bar?

When I click on a category link, I go to a page showing the products in that category.
However, just above the products is an ugly black banner with all the category links in it. (see attached photo.
How do I get rid of it, or at the least, change the color?

We are glad to know that you considered using Basel for your web-site. I hope you will be happy with it.

You can disable product categories menu on the shop page in Theme Settings -> Shop -> Shop page layout -> Categories menu in page heading.
