How To Stop WordPress From Generating Copies Of Images In Different Sizes

Hello,

We have installed a new instance of wordpress and installed the WoodMart theme and child theme.

We have configured settings for images to be offloaded to an S3 bucket however, when ever we upload an image to the media library, it generates another 5 instances of the same image in different sizes.

I have changed sizes of all images to 0 in the media settings however it still generates multiple images on upload.

We want to minimize storage space by ONLY uploading the image size that we have created.

Is their any way to disable this option?

Hello,

Thank you for your message. WordPress automatically generates multiple image sizes for thumbnails and other display variations as part of its core functionality. This behavior isn’t controlled by the WoodMart theme.
There is no option in the dashboard to disable this.
