HellenicTechnologiesParticipantHello,
We’re currently facing an issue with our menu setup. Specifically, we’ve created some custom HTML blocks for our menu, within which we’ve manually added countries as list items .
However, we’ve noticed that the theme automatically restores previously deleted Menu child items on its own. Even after manually removing them, they tend to reappear after a few hours, without any action from our side.
This is causing confusion and extra work, as we have to repeatedly delete these unwanted entries. Do you have any idea why this might be happening, or how we can prevent the theme from restoring these items automatically?
Thanx! 🙂

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Try to disable the LightSpeed cache and recheck the issue. Also, disable the cache on you server.
Let me know the result.
Kind Regards

HellenicTechnologiesParticipantHello,
Will do that and let you know. What caching mechanism do you suggest for us to use in order for the theme to work fine?

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
You can use the same options for the cache plugin as shown here – https://xtemos.com/wordpress-performance-optimization-the-ultimate-guide-in-2021/#Step_4
Currently, check whether the issue is related to the cache or not.
Thank you for your time.
Kind Regards

HellenicTechnologiesParticipantHello,
We had closed Lightspeed since this morning and had cleaned up the menus, but we just noticed that the child items have reappeared. You will see them in the Menu Categories Europe block.

Luke NielsenKeymasterOkay, so was the issue in the cache plugin?
Thank you for your time.

Luke NielsenKeymasterSend me a video on how to replicate that issue on your end.
Thank you in advance.

HellenicTechnologiesParticipantYou have to delete the Menu child items and wait couple of hours in order for them to reappear.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
I contacted the development team, and they confirmed that Gutenberg has a specific requirement: lists cannot be empty and must contain at least one item.
Kind Regards

HellenicTechnologiesParticipantHello,
I see, is there any way to overcome this? As you can imagine this creates a major issue, and we can not change the builder at this point of the project without starting over.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Sorry, currently it works in such a way. You can create a future request here – https://woodmart.canny.io/feature-requests so our developers can take it into account.
Kind Regards
