IMAGE SCALE DOWN ON UPLOAD

Hello Author,
Whenever I try to upload an image, it gets scaled down automatically to 175 x 175 or sometimes a resolution not more than (width x 300) and that makes the pictures blurry on the site especially on main product page.

Before now, I was using a plugin called “WP Smush”, but I have just deactivated it.
However, the problem still persists.

I started noticing it today when I snapped an original photo with a resolution of 2976 x 2976 but on upload, the size drastically dropped to 175 x 175 on the media library.
Please help me.

Please inform which element you use to display your images on the page. Also, check if you have set “full” in image size settings of the element.

The theme is up to date as ever.

I was able to figure out the cause of the issue.
It was another plugin I installed earlier with respect to my former thread about some images not aligning with others on the shop and home pages.

I had tried using the plugin to attempt the resize the images and ended up setting some resolution which was responsible for cropping down all other subsequent images on upload.

I have deactivated the plugin and it got the issue fixed.
