Images being rendered at a lower resolution

The image resolution on the product page always seems to remain on 300*300 irrespective of what layout is chosen on the shop page. This seem to lead to a grainy image.

Can you suggest why this is happening?

This ticket can now be closed. Found the resolution as below:

Appearance -> Customise -> Woocommerce -> Product images

Set the size needed.
