Increase input limit does not work according to stock in variations

Hello,

We noticed that the “plus” input for quantity does not have a limit in variation products according to defined stock, while the simple products have.

Please take a look at the variable and simple product we submitted and notice while both have specific stock defined, only the simple product disallows the plus input to increase above the stock before adding the product to cart.

Is it possible to implement this on variable products with stock as well? Right now, the user gets the message about stock limit only after trying to add the variable product to the cart.

Sorry to say but we have checked and confirmed this concern with one of the default WordPress Themes like Storefront (developed by WooCommerce) and the functionality remains the same there too so this isn’t an issue at the Theme level but how things by default works at WooCommerce.

So, to overcome you can have the Stock Status enabled so that the Customers get to know already about the number of stock for the respective variant of a Product: https://snipboard.io/s4Kp3U.jpg
