    Dear Woodmart Support Team,

I am currently using the Woodmart theme along with the RTL child theme.

The theme perfectly suits my needs, and I am very pleased with its capabilities. However, I’ve encountered a challenge when starting new projects for my clients.

    My requirement:
To streamline my workflow when building websites for clients, I want to create a “Master Template” that includes all the settings and customizations I’ve already configured since installing the Woodmart theme and the RTL child theme. This includes adjustments such as the settings for the shopping cart, checkout page, and other configurations within the theme.

Having such a template would allow me to duplicate the website into new environments for each new project without needing to reconfigure everything from scratch.

    My questions:

Is there an official method to duplicate a website based on Woodmart while preserving all settings and configurations?
Since Woodmart requires a license for each project (I purchase a license when a client agrees to proceed with the project), what happens when I copy the website to a new environment?
Specifically, if I activate the license for the new project, could this reset or overwrite the configurations back to the default settings?
Do you provide any tools or recommended processes for duplicating a Woodmart-based website efficiently while maintaining full compatibility with the theme?
I truly appreciate your support and guidance, as I aim to use the Woodmart theme effectively and in compliance with its licensing terms.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and for your kind words about the WoodMart theme! We’re delighted to hear that it suits your needs. Let me address your questions one by one:

    1. Duplicating a WoodMart-Based Website:
To duplicate a website with all settings and configurations, we recommend using a migration plugin such as All-in-One WP Migration, Duplicator, or UpdraftPlus Premium. These tools allow you to export your site with all the settings, theme customizations, and content intact and import it into a new environment.
    2. Using a New License for Each Project:
When you duplicate your site to a new environment, the license will need to be reactivated for the new project. WoodMart licenses are valid per project/domain. You will need to purchase a new license for each client project as per the Envato licensing terms.
    3. Impact of License Activation on Settings:
Activating the license for the new project will not reset or overwrite your existing configurations. All your theme settings and customizations will remain intact after activating the new license.
    4. Tools or Recommended Processes:
Beyond using migration plugins, we recommend exporting the WoodMart settings using the Theme Settings Import/Export Tool within the WoodMart Theme Panel. This allows you to back up your settings as a JSON file and quickly apply them to a new installation.

If you have additional questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

I think the Cloudways Migrator Plugin does the same, and I don’t think it’s very hard to check it out. It won’t take much time—just try it and learn by doing!

    Number 4.

    Hello,

Yes, it is correct: you can just migrate your website and then activate it with a new purchase code.

You can find the instruction here https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/theme-settings-backup/
    Thank you @Shopv.

    Kind Regards
