Instagram Legacy API permission ("Basic Permission") will be disabled on March 3
-
Hello,
We recieved an email from Instagram a few weeks ago that the Instagram Legacy API permission (“Basic Permission”) will be disabled on March 31, 2020.
Can you tell me if that will affect our feed when we have chosen the “Ajax” option? It all works very well right now.
Hello,
It will not affect the AJAX method but we suggest you to set up API method https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/faq-guides/setup-instagram-api/
Kind Regards
Hello,
In the setup for the Instagram API, I see that we require a facebook account and also an Instagram business account.
However we do not have an Instagram business account and we do not want one. Do you know if a business Instagram account is really the only option?
Instagram allows you to display photos from your own account only from now. That is why it is not possible to use its API if you don’t have an account.
Helo Artem,
I think maybe you did not understand my questiion.
We of course have an Instagram standard account. We just do not have a “business” instagram account. There is a difference.
My question is whether we can still create this API without a Instgram business account, just with standard Instagram account.
Thank you
Follow our documentation guide and enable the Business option for your account.
Hello Artem,
Sorry maybe I am not being clear to you. I do not want a business Instagram account. It reduces your visability and you then have to pay for advertising to market your Instagram posts!
I want to stay with my standard Instagram account. Anyway to have the API without upgrading to a business account?
Sorry, but Instagram API works with a Business account only.
