    We have a clone of our site in a sandbox environment, where we are trying to update the Woodmart Child theme to it’s most up-to-date specs, but when we implemented this the whole layout of our product pages went badly wrong.
    Can we engage a Them Specialist to help us make the theme work the way we want, and provide us with the code files needed to bring the DEV Sandbox site, back to the main domain.

    What our aim is, is to find out how to update the site that is in the sandbox, and have any relevant files and procedures documented. So that we can update the live site to the newest Woodmart Theme specs, and implement the same changes on the live site.

    Hi xforceaust,

    Thanks for details.

    1. Single product issue and page title.

    I switched to Parent theme and it worked, so please double check WoodMart Child theme again or use the fresh one.

    2. Descriptions

    Your question is a bit unclear to me. Please describe in more details, this will allow me to thoroughly investigate and address your concerns in a more efficient.

    Hi Hung Pham,

    Let me explain, by giving the link to the same product, one on our live Old Theme version site and the other from the Sandbox New Theme Dev site. Take a look at both products pages, and you will see that on the Sandbox new site, only the “Product description” from the product editing pages is shown on the new site.

    But, on our current (old theme version) site, the top most text section of the product description is populated using the “Product Short Description” where we are currently writing the majority of the copy for the listing. This is displayed under a RED font Subheading called “SPECIFICATIONS”.
    Then below that, is the text contained in the “Product description” field from the WooCommerce product editing page, under the heading “Description”

    Links to view the SAME product on our existing version theme, versus it appears on the new version of the theme are in the Private Content area.

    If you compare the two listings, you will see the main bulk of the information that we store in the “Product Short Description” .
    I will attach a screen shot of the text, that we store in the product short description. We need this to appear above, the product description, when the product is viewed on the site.

    Hi Hung Pham,

    I will sort that for you now. Details are in the private content.

    Obviously, only look at the live site, please don’t make any changes.

    Hi xforceaust,

    You should deactivate all plugins (except Required Plugins) and then reactivate them one by one. This makes it very easy to isolate the plugin causing problems.

    Hi Hung Pham,

    What are you referring to when you say causing problems?

    We gave you access to the live site, so that you could work out how to make the new Dev site, look like the current live site, with regards to how the single product appears.

    Hi xforceaust,

    You added Custom CSS to hide short description section, I helped you to remove it.

    Hi Hung Pham,

    I can see what you mean.

    This also works;

    .woocommerce-product-details__short-description {
    display: block;
    }
    .poduct-tabs-inner .woocommerce-product-details__short-description {
    display: block;
    }

    But what we are trying to replicate on the nev DEV site, is where the Product Short Description is displayed.

    Your solution makes the short description appear above the Add to Cart button in the side panel on the right.

    What we are trying to replicate, is to have the Product Short Description appear above the “description” and below the product images, on the left panel of the screen.

    I am attaching 2 images, one showing where the product short description is being displayed on the current live site. The other showing where the product short description is being displayed on the new theme version DEV site, and where it need to be moved to.

    We are making great progress, thank you so much for all your help.

    Hi xforceaust,

    I kindly recommend you to use Custom Product layout, which is built with WoodMart WooCommerce builder, then you can place short description where you want.

    Further, you can read more about the Layout Builder here: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/woodmart-woocommerce-layout-builder/ and
