ISSUE WITH COMPLETE CHECKOUT IF EXISTING CUSTOMER NOT LOGIN

    I’m experiencing an issue on my WooCommerce website related to the checkout process. When a customer tries to place an order using an email address that is already registered but without logging in, the order is not completed successfully. Instead, the customer is either blocked from proceeding or encounters an error preventing them from finalizing the purchase.

    Here are the key details of the issue:

    Issue Description: If a customer enters an email address that is already registered in the system but does not log in to their account, the checkout process fails. There is no clear error message explaining why the order cannot be completed, which leads to confusion and frustration for the customer.

    Expected Behavior: Ideally, I would like customers to be able to either:

    Proceed with the order as a guest without being blocked if they use an existing email address, or
    Be prompted to log in if they are using a registered email address.
    Troubleshooting Steps: I have already checked the WooCommerce settings to ensure that guest checkout is enabled, and that customers are allowed to create accounts during checkout. Despite these settings, the issue persists.

    Please let me know if there is a known solution for this issue, or if I need to make adjustments to the settings, plugins, or theme. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated in resolving this problem, as it is affecting the user experience and the ability for customers to complete their orders.

    Could you please check how it works with some default WordPress themes like TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront to understand is it our theme issue or not?

    i have changed theme it working but in woodmart not working but i have used another theme not twenty

    I tested on my end in Incognite mode with registered email without logging and it worked well. By default, WoodMart also doesn’t control checkout functionality, which is default WooCommerce task.

    In order to test deeply, you can create a dev site, disable extra plugins to double check without affecting to production site.

    Devsite – also called a Staging platform where you can test issues, enable/disable features/plugins thus such changes will affect the main site. The below article will help you to create it:

    Hello aziztoubou2022,

    You should deactivate all plugins (except Required Plugins) and then reactivate them one by one. This makes it very easy to isolate the plugin causing problems.
