vynilParticipantHello team, I ran into an issue.
During SEO optimisation, Serpstat (https://serpstat.com) indicated I have two H1s in the page attached in the private content area: one from the title I added in the post, one from the Page title area. So I navigated to the theme settings > Page title > SEO > Title tag and instead of the default selected option – “Default” – I selected H2. Once I did that and went back to the page I was optimising, I saw a title above the breadcrumbs I can’t change or remove. This is the title of my portfolio page as set in the settings (screenshot attached). Before I changed the title tag from the settings, nothing was showing there, just the breadcrumbs. I recorded a video to see the difference, please find it attached in the private content area as well. How can I remove this title, without ending up with two H1s as my SEO tool is saying this is not good?
And one more question: is it possible in any way to change the name of the Portfolio custom post type into any other word, e.g. “Schools” (since I am using the custom post type to display a number of schools on my site). Not that much in the backend, but more in the link? I checked in the permalinks section of my site but I couldn’t find any way to change it. Example attached in the private content.
Thank you very much in advance!

01. I have checked your site and have not seen the title above the breadcrumbs.
See Screenshot for clarification: https://ibb.co/fzp93HVp
02. You can change the portfolio slug and URL while editing the page in Dashboard -> Pages. Find this field right under the title area.

vynilParticipantHi. I am afraid you didn’t get my question. I didn’t ask how to change the slug of the portfolio page. I asked how to change/ remove the wording “project” from the single portfolio items URLs. I reattach the link for reference in the private content area. I also re-enabled the text for point 1). Can you please recheck now?
February 10, 2026 at 8:19 pm #708082
vynilParticipantActually, in order to avoid the back and forth, I have just recreated the issue on the staging site and I am sending you temporary access. The explanation of the issue is the same as in my original message. Thanks.
February 11, 2026 at 10:32 am #708120Hello,
Navigate to > Theme Settings > Portfolio >, you will find two options:
Portfolio project URL slug & Portfolio category URL slug.
There, you can try setting the “Portfolio project URL slug” https://snipboard.io/R7VZ4m.jpg
Further, you can read more about Portfolio under the Documentation here: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/portfolio/

vynilParticipantThank you for this. Can you address the other point/ issue mentioned in my original comment?
February 11, 2026 at 3:20 pm #708194Hello,
For your other issue, I have not seen the title above the breadcrumbs.
See Screenshot for clarification: https://ibb.co/fzp93HVp
Can you please explain to me what you actually want so I can further check on your site and give you a possible solution?

vynilParticipantI already provided a link to the staging site where the issue is reproduced with temporary access from my message on February 10, 2026 at 8:19 pm. Can you check?
February 12, 2026 at 10:04 am #708282Hello,
Sorry for the inconvenience. Please navigate to Theme Settings > Page Title and disable the “Page title” option. These settings will apply to all page titles across your site.
If you would like to disable the page title only for projects, go to Projects > Edit Project, scroll down to Page Settings, and disable the Page title option there.
For more details, you can check this guide: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/options-for-pages/

vynilParticipantHey, thanks for getting back. Sadly this doesn’t work, because now the breadcrumbs are hidden as well. Can you please address this: this page title (not the entire page title section, but the actual portfolio page title!) only appears IF I change the SEO title tag of the page title element from the settings. If the “default” is selected, it shows the breadcrumbs, but not the portfolio page title on single portfolio items. If that’s not really clear, can you please recheck my video, it shows the difference clearly?

Please share the email/username and password via the Private Content field so I can investigate the issue further on your site.

vynilParticipantI’m sorry, but what do you mean by this? Is there a fix for this issue or…
February 13, 2026 at 4:31 pm #708532Hello,
Please download the fresh theme from your account on ThemeForest and reinstall the theme, replacing all the files via Appearance -> Themes -> Add new, and check how it works.
Best Regards,
February 13, 2026 at 4:33 pm #708534
vynilParticipantWhy are you keep saying the same thing? I asked you if this is a fix that we can expect?
February 14, 2026 at 9:52 am #708570Hello,
I’ve checked your site and can confirm the issue. I see your theme files modified on your
installation. Because of this, changing Theme Settings > Page Title > Title tag causes an issue. Please try to reinstall a fresh, unmodified copy of the theme and check the issue.

February 17, 2026 at 8:28 pm #708901
vynilParticipantThe problem persists. The theme files were not changed to begin with, however I tried what you recommended and the result is the same. Can you please check this more carefully as it’s an important problem?
February 18, 2026 at 11:26 am #708951Hello,
Please clear all the optimization caches from the cache and CDN, and test how it works.
Best Regards
February 18, 2026 at 11:32 am #708953
vynilParticipantAre you kidding me? I did that before sending my message here. If you keep acting like a noob, I will leave a 1-star review for this theme.
Please fix the god damned issue! It has been over 10 days and you don’t want to help me at all!
February 18, 2026 at 4:27 pm #709048Hello,
The issue on your website is caused by the Hide Title option being enabled in the footer template. This is a pretty common problem. To fix it, you need to disable the Hide Title option in the page settings https://monosnap.ai/file/3tPCK5HsTtPXUHt0N9reOJ5mBzDJEs

February 18, 2026 at 4:57 pm #709075
vynilParticipantHello, unfortunately, this didn’t make any changes. I turned it off (even if I can’t recall turning it on – can you please give more details what this is about?), but the page title is showing no matter which title tag I select. I remind you that our goal is Not to show the page title, just the breadcrumbs, yet it keeps showing once I change the title tag from default to anything else like H2, H3, etc.
February 19, 2026 at 9:23 am #709142Hello,
We have carefully rechecked the behavior on your website, and the solution previously provided is working correctly and functions as intended.
But if you would like to hide the Page Title and show only breadcrumbs in the page you can use the custom css code to hide the page title.
.single-portfolio .wd-page-title .title { display: none !important; }Best Regards,
February 19, 2026 at 9:12 pm #709287
vynilParticipantHey again, just to confirm, when you say everything works as expected, do you mean that the page title was supposed to be showing all the time, no matter what SEO title tag is chosen, and solution you provided with the setting in the footer was meant to show the title as per the expected behaviour? Because my issue was that it was NOT showing (which is what I want), unless I change from default to another title tag. Anyway, the code provided works and I thank you very much!
February 20, 2026 at 10:41 am #709330Hello,
Yes — the title is expected to show when you choose any title tag. That is the intended behavior.
I’m glad the provided code works for you now. You can use this css to hide only the page title.
Best Regards,
February 20, 2026 at 11:49 am #709342
vynilParticipantI understand, thank you. But may I ask if you know how this setting “Hide title” is activated? Asking because you mentioned it’s a very common issue. Does it come like that from the theme because I never enabled it?
February 20, 2026 at 1:13 pm #709367Hello,
I’ve double-checked on a test site by creating a new HTML block, and the “Hide Title” option is actually disabled by default. So unless it was manually enabled in your footer template, it shouldn’t be active. Some customizations might have it turned on, which is why it can appear as a common issue.
Best Regards,
February 20, 2026 at 7:25 pm #709412
vynilParticipantI understand completely. Thank you very much for checking, and for the solution offered. You may close the ticket. Best wishes!
