LOGIN with Facebook / Google

This shows the buttons when logging in but the buttons disappear when registering… why is there no register with facebook / google when on the register tab. These buttons should still be there

These buttons are only for login. Actually user does not create any accounts, he logins with the existing Facebook/Google accounts and integrate the personal data into the site.

Ok so what happens if the user clicks “login with facebook” button and they don’t already have a WP user account here???

It registers them as a new WP user doesn’t it? So you see this is also a “register” action and not just log in action… so the buttons need to be in both places! We are UX agency.

When a user logins for the first time, a new profile is created in the WordPress database.

Our team has developed the feature basing on the common release of the functionality. Most versions of the social login feature as well as the official documentation https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/ and https://developers.google.com/identity/sign-in/web/sign-in suggest this functionality as “Login with”, “Continue with”, “Sign in with” however never “Sign up” or “Register”.

You can disable tabs in the Theme Settings > Register/Login to have this form on both.

We shall consider adding this feature to Register tab in one of our future releases but do not promise to implement it in the nearest updates.
