Lost element after update Woocommerce 4.0
-
Hello,
I allow myself to contact you because we lost two items following the update of Woocommerce 4.0.
These are the general search bar at the top of the site and the sidebars built with the HTML block that we had in our product pages.
We configure our sidebar per product page from the “SIDEBAR OPTIONS” tab by selecting the hmtl block.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Hugo
Hello,
Have you made the site backup before updating? We always recommend to de before any considerable changes? It is strange, updating Woocommerce never influence or reset the widgets. Please try to restore the site from the backup.
Best Regards
Hello Elise & Xtemos team,
Unfortunately, we did not make any backups before this event …
Henceforth we will act with caution for the next updates like WordPress.
But how to do for these two lost blocks?
Best regards,
Hugo
Hello,
You can add the widget again into the Header. Please navigate to Appearance > Widgets and add the search widget to the Header widget area.
Please add the HTML widget to the Shop page area in the Appearance > Widgets and you will chose the HTML block wich you had before.
Best Regards
Hello Elise,
I did a very simple manipulation which made the two widgets reappear.
Following your advice, I am going to the widgets menu.
They were still in place, I deleted them and then put them back.
And this to work, it’s very curious!
Last little question, will you update the theme to optimize it with the latest Woocommerce and WordPress versions?
Thank you for your help.
Take care,
Hugo
Hello,
