EcommerceParticipantHi Team,
It’s essential to pay attention to the use of H1, H2, H3, and H4 tags in category title texts for SEO. How can we implement this in the WoodMart theme? Google places great importance on category hierarchy and the proper use of heading tags. For example:
H1 tag for the main category (.com/phone)
H2 tag for the subcategory (.com/phone/apple)
H3 tag for sub-subcategory (.com/phone/apple/iphone)
H4 tag for sub-sub-subcategory (.com/phone/apple/iphone/iphone15)January 26, 2025 at 1:46 pm #632810
Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
You can create different custom layouts for products archive and assign them to specific categories. Check our documentation for help https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/shop-page-builder/
Kind Regards

EcommerceParticipantThis area is for creating structure. I am referring to the category titles that appear in the Products > Categories section of WooCommerce. Do I need to create 50 separate edits for each of the 50 categories that open? This seems ridiculous—there must be another way. Or, there could be a simple code added to the theme. I want to set the category title text for categories and subcategories as an H tag.
You are just writing and glossing over the issue to close the ticket without providing any assistance!!!

Artem TemosKeymasterThis functionality is a part of the WooCommerce plugin. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have an option to have different title tags used for different categories. We don’t have a custom code for this since it is out of our theme support scope.

EcommerceParticipantThe steps you mentioned cannot be applied. I am using Elementor. I duplicated the layout of the Shop page. The Shop page style and filters are suitable for my categories. When you try to assign specific categories to the duplicated layout, you encounter the screen shown in the attached screenshot. This means the layout cannot be assigned to specific categories; it is applied to all categories. Why can’t I select certain categories on the screen, like when assigning a layout to products?

EcommerceParticipantAlso, in the layout creation area, there are templates for Product Archive and Single Product. Layouts cannot be created for category pages.

EcommerceParticipantThis cannot be done like this. You are giving nonsensical answers. SEO means everything. There needs to be an option added for the H tag in the category and subcategory editing section. This is a huge flaw of Woodmart. I am attaching the image; in the category and subcategory editing section, we need to manually assign the H tag based on the breakdown of the ‘name’ section. This needs to be developed in the short term. If it cannot be developed, you need to provide me with a temporary solution until a permanent solution is found. I cannot edit the H tag of the category titles on my site.

Artem TemosKeymasterYou sent us a screenshot of the category editing interface which is related to WooCommerce plugin, not to the theme. You can check with any other WooCommerce theme and it will work the same. So you need to suggest this feature to be implemented in WooCommerce instead.

EcommerceParticipantI have already sent the images in the custom fields. Please especially check the screenshot of the category editing page I sent last. Every feature on the WooCommerce category editing page belongs to the fields developed by Woodmart. The H tag should be added to this page for both the category and subcategory.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Yes, the theme adds some custom fields to extend the functionality. But in general, this interface is a part of the WooComemrce plugin. Anyway, we will consider this as a feature request. Thank you.
Kind Regards

EcommerceParticipantI am sharing this with you again in detail to emphasize the importance of the situation. I have a total of 50 categories for SEO work. In order to determine the H tags according to the category breakdown, I will need to create 50 layouts and assign these layouts to the respective categories. Please consider the pages and workload this will create on my website.
January 27, 2025 at 6:20 pm #633219
Artem TemosKeymasterBut you don’t need to create 50 layouts and only the number of category hierarchy levels. So one layout for all categories in the first level, one for the second and so on.
