    Hello!

I have contacted woocommerce support stating that ‘Setting a primary category is not a core feature of WooCommerce’.

The issue I am facing is the following:

At product page when I tick two sub sub-categories checkboxes (keep their parent categories unticked) and make one of them primary, the following is noticed:

    1) The product url maintains the non-primary category path. > This is the issue.
    2) The breadcrumb displays the primary category path > Correct.

    Example of sub sub-category:
    Men > Category
    Clothes > Sub-category
    Shirts > Sub sub-category

I have set the following product permalink:
    https://example.com/e-shop/product-category/sample-product/

which automatically creates the following custom permalink:
    /e-shop/%product_cat%/

Why the product url is not the corresponding primary category’s path but the non-primary?

I have cleared all caches including page cache.
    Thank you

    Hello,

Please make the full backup of your site as well as the Theme settings export and check the issue on the Storefront theme to detect if our theme causes the problem. Storefront is a free theme developed by Woocommerce.

You can configure the product URL in the Settings > Permalinks.

    Best Regards
