Many settings doesn’t work

Hello, I start to use your theme with prebuild “demo furniture 2”. I also used to use Basel Theme. I have problems with many settings that should work, for example:

– category descriptions – in category options there are two descriptions – default from woocommerce and “Extra description” I am not able to show them in the category.
– shop layout: I am not able to change the layout in Product Archive -> Sidebar. I change the layout and nothing happens
– the option “Enable shop filters widget’s area above the products.” also doesn’t work.

I have many more examples. Maybe I made some simple mistake but why changing the setting (especially the shop layout – for example position of sidebars filter) doesn’t change anything?

Ok. I will send but one more question. If there is defined shop layout in elementor (https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/shop-page-builder/) some options in theme settings doesn’t work? For example position of the filters in shop’s sidebar i (in shop builder I can define its position and also in theme setting there is option to put filters above products loop on category)

I think it make sense because if I make some changes in shop layout in elementor, it should not be overriden by some theme settings. Please clarify am I correct in my understanding?

1) In order to show the categories description in the Layouts, you need to define appropriate elements there: https://take.ms/LVQSTa

2) Layout settings problem: The sidebar on the Layouts can be changed manually, not via theme settings: https://take.ms/vBZ5V . The Off canvas sidebar option can be enabled via the settings of the container: https://take.ms/beUv2

In general, in order to activate the “Custom off-canvas sidebar” on the Layouts using Elementor, you need to do the following:

1). Make a section with 2 columns, one of them can contain the sidebar element or filter widgets and another will have your products element. https://take.ms/uti4Y
2). Edit the “Sidebar” column and in its settings set the Column role for “off-canvas layout” as “Off canvas”: https://take.ms/puKlD . Also, specify which devices you want to apply this on: https://take.ms/ZljnG

The column with the products should have the “Content column” value in the “​​Column role” field: https://take.ms/zC3J1

IMPORTANT: both sidebar and content columns should have the same devices selected.
