Mobile Menu NOT Working

Hi Woodmart Support Team,

I’m running into an issue where the mobile menu (hamburger icon) isn’t functioning — it just redirects to #.

My site: gadgetsasa.co.ke

Oddly, the mobile menu works fine on desktop when I shrink the browser window or use Chrome DevTools’ device mode, but it fails to open or load on actual mobile phones.

Troubleshooting steps I’ve already tried:

Header Builder: Verified the “Mobile menu” element is correctly placed in the Mobile Header layout within Woodmart’s Header Builder.
Menu Assignments: Set up dedicated WordPress menus and assigned them to both the “Primary Menu” and “Mobile Side Menu” locations.
Theme Settings: Turned on “Mobile Bottom Toolbar” under Theme Settings > Header > Mobile Bottom Toolbar.
Caching & JS Optimization:
Disabled JS deferral/delay and script combination in SG Speed Optimizer to test.
Excluded core Woodmart scripts (helpers.min.js, mobileNavigation.min.js, clickOnElements.min.js) from render-blocking JS delay rules.
Cleared SiteGround’s Dynamic Cache and Memcached, then tested on real mobile devices using Incognito mode and mobile data.

Even after all of this, the mobile menu still doesn’t respond.

Could you let me know if this points to a known script conflict, or if there’s a specific Woodmart setting that could be blocking the mobile navigation scripts from firing on actual mobile viewports?

Please deactivate all the 3rd-party plugins and activate only the theme-required plugins on the site, and then check the issue. I am sure your issue will be solved. Then activate the 3rd party plugins one by one and check which plugin is creating the issue for you.

Otherwise, if the issue still exists, then keep the 3rd party plugins deactivated and share the WP admin login details of your site so I can check and give you a possible solution.

Deactivating SG Optimizer resolved the issue…my question is, how do I speed up my site without SG Optimizer? Do you have a built-in optimizer, or will your theme work with WP Rocket?
