Most optimal aspect ratio for product images

Hello,
You know your theme and WP better than I will ever do. So, is there an aspect ratio (1/1 , 24/36, 4/3, ….), and even format (landscape / portrait) that better suits the theme, I mean enabling to better see images on any device (desktop, mobile phone, …), without scrolling down to see the zoom icon, for instance.
This, to prevent me from doing tests.
I understood that the width of images is stable, and that images can be seen in masonry or grids.

We can’t advise you on this question since there is no any “gold” standard for images aspect ratio. On our demo, we use 1/1.3 ratio and it looks very nice.

My question relates to “responsiveness”.

*Did you try different ratios to see how they behave within your theme?

* does your theme resize images? or is it only defined and made by WP?

Our theme doesn’t control your product images at all and it depends on WooCommerce plugin and WordPress. And responsiveness doesn’t depend on the aspect ratio. All images will be responsive.
