New Arrivals

I am trying to make new page New arrivals and I am trying to make it look almost the same like product archives but when I am trying to put on this page in elementor widget “order by” :
– first the elementor can’t find the widget it is noit available
– second when i copy while in elementor this widget from one of your predefined pages of product archive it copies from there and puts in my New arrivals page but when I run the page I can not see this widget anywere

can you explain me why it does not work and why while I am building product archive page some widgets are available but when I am trying to build a new page like for example New Arrivels or blog the widgets are not available in elementor

The “Order by” widget you see is not a regular Elementor widget. It’s part of the WooCommerce archive template, and it only works on pages that are registered as product archive pages.

Try to use Custom Product layouts, which are built with WoodMart WooCommerce builder and use these woocommerce widgets.

Yes, the Layout Builder is designed specifically for WooCommerce archive and single product pages, not for creating standalone pages like “New Arrivals.” That’s why those widgets don’t appear when building a regular page in Elementor.

I suggest you create a “New Arrivials” Category and create a custom product archive layout with the Layout Builder and assign it to a specific product category that represents “New Arrivals.”

This way, you can replicate the look of a product archive while still having control over the products shown.

In WordPress Dashboard -> Navigate to Products -> Categories, create a new category called New Arrivals and assign the relevant products to it.

Then go to Layouts > Add New > Choose the product type “Product Archive” and choose the category.

Then you can design the layout in Elementor (this is the “custom product archive layout” I mentioned). Once you save the layout, this layout is automatically applied whenever someone visits that category page.

but the problem is i have to manually put new products into New arrivals or for example Sale, I prefer it automatic I would like to use widget (products and carrousel) chose the latest products or sale and let the system put there products according to parametres in woodmart

You are correct — if you create a category like New Arrivals then you’ll need to manually assign products in the category.

If you want this process to be automatic, you don’t need to create categories for it. Instead, you can use the Products or Carousel widget for this and choose the data source “Product with New Label”.

So in short:

Use a Category and Custom Archive Layout if you want full control over archive products and design.

Use the Products/Carousel widget to dynamically show products.
