Seneca StudioParticipantHi, I made my purchase today and followed your instructions. I installed your theme and demo content over top my existing theme/content with the intention of transitioning over to your theme. I have my existing portfolio and pages from my previous theme at the moment and plus I added a test product to WooCommerce. However, I have encountered a number of issues.
1- Icons are missing and I only see squares for all icons- such as cart and wish list.
2- After adding products to my cart, when I click on “view cart” or “checkout” I am simply redirected to the home page.
On a separate note, should I have installed both the parent and child themes and then make the child theme the active theme that I edit? Your install instructions were not clear on that.
Thank you and I look forward to resolving these issues with you.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
First of all thanks for choosing our Theme, we are glad to be you in WoodMart WordPress family
:-)
.1) As the square boxes are shown except of icons in your site to fix this try to regenerate the CSS from WoodMart >> CSS generator.
Also, please go to Theme Settings and resave it and check your site after removing the browser cache.
Also you need to make sure that the “http” or “https” used in URL must be the same in both “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” from Settings >> General.
2) I have test your site after adding products to my cart when I click on “view cart” or “checkout” it redirect me to the home page. It seems you did not configure the cart and checkout page from WooCommerce Settings. Go to WooCommerce >> Settings >> Advanced >> Page Setup and select your specific pages.
Yes you can install both the parent and child themes and then activate the child theme for editing from Appearance >> Themes..
Best Regards.

Seneca StudioParticipantHello Aizaz and thank you for the quick reply!
1) I tried everything you suggested. I created a new CSS file using the generator and saved the theme, then purged WP cache. However, all icons still appear as squares. I also confirmed that my WP and site address match up- https://senecastudio.com (I tried changing it to https://staging1.senecastudio.com but it reverted back to https://senecastudio.com after saving). Either way, it didn’t work. I also tried a different browser without any site cache. Icons are all squares.
One other thing to mention is that when I was installing the base demo import, I received some sort of error and it stalled out at 2% importing. However, after refreshing the page it said that the install was successful. Perhaps it wasn’t successful after all and affected the icons?
2) The instructions related to WooCommerce set up in the documentation pages are very generic and didn’t mention the advanced settings you told me about. When I go to the Page Setup section, I have no idea which page to select. I tried everything, including things like “Home base” and “Home furniture,” but nothing works. Should I be seeing a “cart” and “checkout” page from the drop down menu? These pages don’t exist in the menu (see the attached screen shot) nor in my Pages section of the WP dashboard.
And thanks for the info about the child theme. I uploaded both and have the child theme as the active one.

Seneca StudioParticipantWhile waiting for your reply, I went ahead and created a brand new staging environment (https://staging2.senecastudio.com/). This time, I deactivated all plugins, deleted all of my existing pages plus current theme, and then installed your theme (plus child), installed and activated all required and recommended plugins, and then finally performed the base demo/page install. After stalling at 1% again, I received the “Import AJAX problem. Please, try import data manually.” error (see screenshot). What is strange is after a long time of waiting the progress bar began moving along until 100% was reached and I received the following message:
“Base dummy content is successfully imported and installed. Now you can choose any version to apply its settings for your website or leave a default one. You are be able to switch to default version settings any time.”
It appears the import process worked this time since I see 120 pages have been added (unlike last time which only about 12 were imported). However, I still don’t see a Cart or Checkout page and don’t know what to select in the advanced WooCommerce options from the long drop down menu of options.
Also, I only see squares in place of icons again. Once again I followed your instructions and generated the CSS file and oddly the entire site won’t load now. I get a “too many redirects” error. It’s quite frustrating. I didn’t think I would have so many issues getting your theme to install and operate properly.
FYI, I am using Google Chrome Version 78.0.3904.87 (Official Build) (64-bit) on a Mac running MacOS 10.12.6. My hosting company is SiteGround Hosting optimized for WP web sites.

Seneca StudioParticipantYou can disregard most of what I said in my recent replies. I spent a few more hours working on the site while waiting for your reply and was able to get the icons to show up correctly. And regarding the cart and checkout pages not being available, it turns out it was a WooCommerce issue where the set up wizard wasn’t working and so I couldn’t set up my e-commerce pages properly. One suggestion I do have for you guys is to make it clear that these pages should be generated by WooCommerce and not part of your theme. It’s not clear in your documentation and as a first time WooCommerce user it was frustrating.
At this point, I will need some time to get everything customized. In the meantime, one thing I noticed is that the payment icons in the footer are missing and a “broken image” icon is showing up. The same goes for the default WoodMart logo that appears right above the footer on the left side where the store address is shown. Do you know why these images are broken/missing? Refer to my new staging area (address in Private Content section below). Thank you!

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Yes, sometimes those errors shown while importing demo content. Actually most of the times those were just precautions and did not harm your site. But we do not have to refresh the page suddenly at that time we have to wait for a while and mostly the progress bar then began to move to 100%.
Those pages cart and checkout related to WooCommerce and automatically created with their specific elements and we just have to select them from WooCommerce settings. In case you did not found the cart and checkout page in the dropdown. Then you can also create them from Pages >> Add New.
Screenshot for cart page: https://jmp.sh/OFNwbDp
Screenshot for checkout page: https://jmp.sh/OAyEEt3I’m glad that you resolved the icons and the cart, checkout pages issue as it works now in your site. You are the best. Yes you are right, we will try to mention this in our documentation that these pages are generated by WooCommerce and not a part of your theme. Appreciating your suggestion.
Could you please share the login details for “https://staging2.senecastudio.com/” where you want to fix the broken images issue from the footer.
Best Regards.
