No Category Menu since Theme update

Hi,

sorry for opening multiple topics, but i think it’s clearer like that than to work in a single thread..

my problem:
since i updated the theme the shop category menu is missing at all and i can’t make it appear. two months ago woodmart support colleague Aizaz Imtiaz Awan solved my issue as i wanted to display the category menu only on all shop pages on mobile devices (and get rid of it on desktop version).

Hello,

Most likely you have updated the theme not correctly as the results all the widgets have rested. You need to add the widgets again into the Shop page widget area in Appearance > Widgets.

the problem summarized in words:

the shop category drop down menu on shop pages disappeared!

note: the category drop down menu has to be visible O N L Y on shop/product pages on mobile devices (not on desktop!), so please check it on mobile device – the shop category drop down menu isn’t there anymore (link to shop/product page in the private content section).

maybe you can reach out to your colleague Aizaz Imtiaz Awan as he was the person that could fix it two months ago..

You need to enable the title on the shop page https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/options-for-pages/

Then navigate to the Theme Settings > Shop page > Sidebar and titles and enable showing the categories in the title.

sorry, but that would have been too easy, i’ve already tried all this options – they don’t work. 2 months ago your colleague Aizaz Imtiaz Awan logged in and could solve it by adding custom css to the desktop css field. i leave you access data for my hp in the private section so that you can login and hopefully solve my problem, i can’t do it on my own. 🙂

I have logged into your website and there is no Custom CSS available in the Theme Settings that we added to remove the shop page categories from the desktop.

Please deactivate all the third-party plugins, activate the parent theme. Clear cache and check back.

If the problem continues then leave the third party plugins deactivated and tell me with the permissions to debug then we will troubleshoot with the theme plugins.

The problem is that i want to show the categories only on shop pages on mobile device, they shouldn’t appear on desktop. Futhermore the page title shouldn’t be displayed (i think i could just make it non-visible in the settings, just wanted to mention this).

I have logged into your website and removed the categories in the shop page title from desktop and it is displaying on mobile.

And for the difference in the menu in the screenshots you mentioned in the previous screenshot you have hidden the shop page title for both mobile and desktop and added a background color to the shop page.

Please try adding the background color to the shop page title and hide the shop title as you mentioned that you can do this on your own then clear cache and check back.

Ok, we’re nearly there. The mobile menu already looks like before as you can see here (i centered the page title in the theme settings so the category-menu ‘kategorien’ got centered): https://ibb.co/c8tLpZc

The only problem revealing now is that the background color/banner stays on desktop version and i can’t get rid of. You can see here: https://ibb.co/3CfC7CN
The background has to stay on mobile device, but the whole background color/banner shouldn’t be visible on desktop. (the background color/banner disappears only when i deactivate the page title, but this again crashes the whole thing again..)
