RichardTRCParticipantExperiencing some quite bad performance issues on one of the sites built using woodmart.
I’ve done everything like optimising images (all are quite small), disabling gutenberg elements and wpbakery elements which aren’t needed, configuring caching (W3 total cache) etc but I’m still getting an average score of E on gtmetrix, with the homepage taking approx 6+ seconds to load.
The worst offender is the gtmetrix result: “Avoid chaining critical requests”. All the results are related to woodmart (see attached).
Previously this listed loads of minified CSS (because of W3 total cache), but I disabled minification which revealed the names of all the woodmart CSS as seen in the screenshot.Any advice?
Thanks.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Is there any chance that you could give me access to the dashboard area so I can have a look at the settings on your website, please?
Kind Regards

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
I apologize for the delay.
Please confirm the permission to disable 3rd party plugins and enable the parent theme for testing. As soon as we complete the testing we will enable it all back.
Kind Regards

RichardTRCParticipantHi, sorry, no we cannot do that. We can see the cause of slowness by looking at things like gtmetrix and the Query Monitor plugin I have installed, we do not need to disable everything to investigate.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
1. The 6 sec of loading could be caused by plugins or the server itself, so that is why I asked for permission.
2. Please enable the same optimizing option in the cache plugin as described here – https://xtemos.com/wordpress-performance-optimization-the-ultimate-guide-in-2021/#Step_4, clear the cache and recheck the issue.
Kind Regards

RichardTRCParticipantHi Luke, I ended up dumping W3 total cache and using WP Fastest Cache instead and the difference is quite big, loading times have improved considerably 🙂 Thanks for your help.
