Log into your WordPress site and navigate to the WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Site Identity.
Click on Site Identity and specify your site name, tagline, logo, and icon. The image that you set in Site Icon will be used as your site’s favicon.
Simply click on the Select Image button and upload the image you want to use as a site icon.
Once you’ve added the favicon using these steps, it may take some time for Google to crawl your site and update the favicon on search results.
