Yes, you can disable it in Theme Settings -> Header -> Other.
That just hides the icon. We’re trying to figure out some caching problems that might be caused by PHP sessions, and so we would need to remove the functionality completely.
If there is no icon in the header, all other functionality will not work and will not influence any other parts of your website.
