we have the problem that in the custom layouts product archive we always automatically get 3 columns displayed regardless of whether we insert the element “product view” in the custom layout or not and regardless of what we set in the element “archive product”.
my understanding was that if i set inherit in the element “archiv product”, then the theme settings with, for example, 5 columns should be displayed by default. if i then also place the element “product view” in the layout, i can switch this, but basically the settings of the “archiv product” are always used when reloading.
unfortunately this is not the case. even if i manually set the “archive product” element to 5 columns, 3 columns are loaded again after the cache has been emptied.
i suspect a problem with the custom layout and settings columns in the archive? without custom layout everything works. so on the pages where i have not set a custom archive layout everything is displayed correctly.
