    1. We don’t understand what is wrong there. All the content is displayed correctly.

    2. Try to use this code for mobile devices only to reduce the font size

    div.cat-design-default .hover-mask h3 {
	font-size: 11px;
}

    Hello,

    As for your first question. When you set an image as a background it will be cut no matter what theme you are using.

    In order to solve the second problem try to paste the code in the mobile field of Theme Settings > Custom CSS.
