Product Design

Hello,
I would like to change a bit the product design box.
on my homepage, I added the product carousel widget.
I selected under the “product design” section > product hover > add to cart on hover option.
I want to do 2 changes with this design:

1. translate the “select options” text to something else. where can I translate it?
2. after clicking on the select option we are getting a popup inside the product box with white background on the whole image. I would like to have this background only on the options selections and not on all the image. please see the attach image to understand better.
