Elsewhere on the site, reduced-size images load, but in the product gallery, thumbnails load full images. This element is not subject to lazy loading on mobile, so this results in a significant performance degradation. We have a staging site to which I can send data.

    Hello,

In general, our theme is already optimized and doesn’t have too many resources to make your website slow.

Please check this manual for images configuration and site performance:
    https://xtemos.com/wordpress-performance-optimization-the-ultimate-guide-in-2021/

You need to optimize images using a service like this: https://imagecompressor.com/ then upload images again. Alternatively, you can try to search for a plugin for this purpose to optimize directly in the site.

    Best Regards.

Hi, my problem is not with the optimization of the site or the optimization of the images, but that in the product gallery thumbnails are not loaded smaller images generated by wordpress, but full images. The thumbnail is displaying a 255×255 photo, and downloading a full 1522×1036 instead of a generated thumbnail of, say, 600×600.

    Hello,

Could you please check how it works with some default WordPress themes like TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront to understand is it our theme issue or not?

    Best Regards.

I checked and in storefront thumbnails are loaded from smaller files. I attach the screenshots

Can you please share the WP admin login url of your site so I will check and give you a possible solution?

    Hello,

Please update the new version of the theme “WOODMART WordPress NEW: 7.3.1 RELEASED” and update the required plugin and check the issue.
    https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/update-the-theme/

Then I suggest you regenerate your images through the “Regenerate Thumbnails” plugin (more detail in the below article).
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    Best Regards.
