    Hi Team,

Working on new site from scratch and just noticed that when a product is opened from home, the product picture loads as full screen followed by shrinking to it’s correct size. Tried to capture this in a video where it happened too fast but otherwise it was quite visible.

Can you check what might be causing it? You are free to deactivate plugins and tools as this site is under development right now.
    Video recording.

    Hello,

I’ve checked your site, and currently, the product image is loading and displaying correctly without any noticeable flicker or resizing effect.

See the video for clarification: https://uploadnow.io/f/RzTyqHT

Check back on your site after completely clearing the cache and check the issue.

Also to make the transition smoother, I recommend enabling the preloader. This ensures that the entire page loads before displaying, which helps prevent any flickering or visual shifts.

You can enable it by navigating to > Theme Settings > Performance > Preloader

    Here’s a screenshot for reference: https://ibb.co/3mgd6dr1

    Hope this Helps!

    Best Regards,

Hi Aizaz, this happens randomly and should not happen. A pre-loader gets applied site-wide which affects Google pagespeed score as well.

I am facing some other performance issues as well, will update this thread with instances shortly (or do you want me to create new thread for those?).

    Hello,

    01. Could you please record a short video and describe how we can reproduce the issue on your website so we can check this for you?

    02. keeping everything in one place can be helpful for context. However, if the issues are significantly different or you’d prefer to keep them organized separately, feel free to create a new thread

    Best Regards

Hi Aizaz, I’m encountering an issue with the variation products. Even though I’ve set individual images for each variation, the display image doesn’t change when a different variation is selected.

    Hello,

It looks like you’ve assigned custom attributes instead of global attributes for your variations.

To fix this, you need to create a global attribute.

Edit the Product Attribute and enable the “Change product image on attribute click” option: https://prnt.sc/OFlxnJhoLRbm

Edit the terms of the attribute and enable Swatch: https://prnt.sc/ryIZHQaYZSkQ

Enable Additional Variations Images in: Theme Settings > Shop > Variable Products https://take.ms/aRzS2

Upload the appropriate images to your variations: https://take.ms/MiDHc

Once these settings are correctly applied, the images should change when selecting different swatches.

Thanks Aizaz, weill do that however my concern is – why is this affecting all the products instead of just affecting those products with custom attributes.

Also, the same setup was on our now retired website (newbuild.durvient.com, moved from parent to sub-domain) but it didn’t have any effect on variation images).

Apart from above, the problem is only on desktop not on mobile. If the custom attribute affected, it would have affected on the mobile devices as well but thats not the case.

    Hello,

Sorry to say I have tested on our test site, and it works with the custom attributes.

Try to disable the custom layout for the single product page and check the issue. You can do this in Dashboard > WoodMart > Layouts.

Aizaz, layouts are woodmart provided tools so why would you recommend disabling it instead of helping us fix the problem?

It’s like covering your own eyes when you see a tiger approaching.

Sorry to say but I would. need a fix on this, its not right for you to recommend us to settle with a compromise.
