Product variation – image gallery

I have a variable product, there are about 20 color variations.
All the variations have the main product image showing the color variation, and some of the variations have additional images in the gallery.
The problem is that when choosing a color variation with 2 images and then choosing another variation which has 1 image, the gallery still show 2 images and one of the images belongs to the previous selected variation.

I tested it without my layout changes (disabled product layout) and also switch to main Woodmart theme but it the issue remains.

Could you please once try deactivating all the third party Plugins on your Site, remaining the Theme required ones activated. If the issue gets resolved, then reactivate them one by one to see which Plugin is causing the issue. Also, try to activate the Parent Theme on your Site if you are using Child Theme on your Site.

If somehow issue still persists, then please take complete Backup of your Site first, then provide us the permission to completely debug your Site which includes deactivating all the third party Plugins and removal of on-Site Customization changes too, so that we can thoroughly check this issue on your Site and assist you accordingly.

Further, sorry to say but your provided WP-ADMIN Login details aren’t working. Also, please share valid WP-ADMIN Login details of your Site.

Sorry for the late response.
The site is now configured with the parent Woodmart theme and only required plugins enabled.
I use your layout builder, so I noticed this issue:
as you can see in the video attached below, all variation have at least 1 image
1. when using the builder we have issue that some of the product variation images are not changed at all and keep showing the previous variation image.
2. when turning it off and using the parent theme original template, the variation images are changed, but if a one variation has additonal images and the next variation doesn’t – the previous additional images are still displayed, while the main variation image is changed.

so the problem is also in main theme, and there are 2 different issues when using the core template and the template builder, both of them should be fixed.

Regarding the Additional Variation Images working concern, sorry to say but if the variation doesn’t have an additional image gallery then when you select the variation the gallery will not be changed at all. Only the featured image will be changed to the specific variant. It is required to have additional images uploaded to all variations to make it work as you want. This is how the Additional Variation Images works by default.

If you are willing to use the Additional Variation Images on your Site for the Products then you need to make sure that you upload the Add. Variation Images to all Variants of the respective Product.

OK, that’s a really bizare answer but we’ll find a solution for it.

what about this issue?
1. when using the Elementor builder product layout we have issue that some of the product variation images are not changed at all and keep showing the previous variation image.
as mentioned above, ALL variations have at least 1 image, but sometimes even the main variation image is not changed (regadless the amount of additional images)
