Server Error 403 Forbidden For Home Page

Hello im using the Shoes demo import and when i set the Home Shoes page as homepage, it shows Server Error 403 Forbidden. This does not happen when i set other pages as homepage, so i dont think it has issues to do with the server side?

I read other people with the same issue, your solution given is to disable the mod security, although it works but i dont think we should disable it as it helps to protect our website security.
