Show all "New" & "Sale" Products on separate pages

Is it possible to show all “New” products on a separate page eg. domain.com/new and also with “On Sale” products?

The product grid does not seem to bind well with the product filter widget (it redirects to the shop page) and filters from all products and not only from the “New” products.
Would there be a way to bind the “Product filter” Widget to the “Product Grid” Widget?

In this case, sales and new products would be filtered on the shop page.
