VebeniParticipantHi, is there a way to display only the relevant brands in a filter? (Either in a sidebar widget or -as in our case- a horizontal filter bar above the shop page content.
Our problem is that all the brands we sell are displayed in all the filters, even if it’s just one or two that makes products within a certain category. Also, a related question, how do you hide the logos in the brands filter, so it’s just their names in text that shows?
Cheers!

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
It is not possible to display only the relevant brands in a filter. But this functionality is already provided that when you are not in the shop page and inside the specific category then only those filters shown which have some products from that category.
The only way to hide the brand logos is to directly remove the images from the Product>> Attributes>> Brand. Edit them one by one and remove their images as in the screenshot:
https://jmp.sh/EaxDbnPIn result image for that brand will not shown only the text will shown: https://jmp.sh/76RPhsl
Also if you used the latest version of theme and display type of brand filters as drop down from the widgets then the logos automatically hidden as in the screenshot: https://jmp.sh/D81GlAj
Best Regards.

VebeniParticipantHi, regarding your answer on the question of brands relevancy, i’m not sure i quite follow. In the example i linked ‘Vapen’ is a subcategory of ‘leksaker’. Yet when i try to use the horizontal filter above the meager three products we carry in this subcategory, all the brands we carry are shown to the customer who might try to filter this subcategory. Which is unlikely in this extreme example, i know š But that’s what makes it a great example to show that all but three of the brands shown have no relevancy to the current category. And most of the brands shown have no relevancy within the top-level category ‘leksaker’ either.
On the brand logos issue, thanks for the tip, i’ll make sure to pass it along to our developer that perhaps we should think about updating the theme itself š

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterMost Welcome,
About the brands relevancy. It is not possible to apply that functionality which you demanding.
It requires customization and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.Best Regards.
