Single product page responsiveness

Can we show product images and thumbnails fit to screen in tablet mode, i have attached the screenshot below.

Right now featured product images covering whole screen, i need 80% of the height for main product image and another 20% height for botttom thumbnails.
Resolution of the tablet screen 768X1024
I wish to show main product image and thumbnails in the same screen.

The height depends on the size of the image, unfortunately, we can’t change the aspect ratio of the image using CSS.
