Size filter question

In my shop I have men and women clothes. Men and women have different sizes which I added in the attributes of each product.

When I open a category page (for example Mens) – I see the sizes in the filter only for mens clothes.

But if I open the /shop/ page in the filter are shown both sizes for men and women (see enclosed screenshots). When both sizes are shown they make a mess in the filter for the customer.

What can be the solution for this?

Maybe:
– to not show the “size” in the filter until a category is selected.

Our theme does not have any options to change that, you can search for a plugin or create a different size attribute for men and women with different slug.
