Solve Functions.php problem in my website.

Hello, I have a problem to edit my Functions.php file using WP dashboard.
in this navigation : Appearance >Editor > Functions.php

When I add some extra code to solve “Remove Script” and click “Update File” then I saw an error message: “Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change ware revarted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by SFTP”

After that I leave this page without any change then I saw my site not working and when I check this file again, this file fully empty.

How to solve this problem please check and solve this problem

Hello,

If you want to customize the theme you would better add the code to functions.php of the child theme. If the code is correct you would not have any errors. Check your code twice.
