Some problems with customisation and multi lingual

Hello,

I have a “browse categories”-menu in my english and russian version, but in hebrew version I have there a main manu, why? I need these categories. By the way a website will have only two this languages later without english. Can I translate “browse categories” also with WPML or only with a pot?

My menu in top bar is absend in frontend, but in backend is present. Where can I add an email adress for the icon in a top bar menu? Also I want to have a languages switcher there, but I can’t see it. I have this switcher only in the main menu.

Where can I find a menu with a “special offer” and “purchase”? I don’t need it.

I want to have a shop page as a homepage and then delete from a main menu, but it’s empty. Only when I choose a category I see all the shop options. How can I solve it?

The same question to the blog page, how can I define blog pages for different languages?

Your header consists of menu and elements. The elements such as Browse Categories are translated via Translation Strings. Menu items are page or categories title. You make the translation of the page/category as you usually do them then go to Menu synchronization http://prntscr.com/jzjd1i

If you need to edit your header follow these steps:

Please navigate to Woodmart > Head builder http://prntscr.com/iyd2pe

Choose the proper header type (your current) http://prntscr.com/iyd333

Modify elements as per your needs: http://prntscr.com/iyd3h3

Take into consideration that there is also the mobile view of your header http://prntscr.com/iyd3v3 check all the elements there.

Set the shop page as a home page in Settings > Reading

The blog page is translated in WPML please refer the WPML documentation

Enter the page editing mode and check which custom sidebar has been added. Also, navigate to Appearance > Widgets and edit all the widgets there.

I could solve some problems, but some of them are still open.

The problem with dropdown menu “browse categories” is on both english and hebrew variants. Both of them have the main menu in this menu, only russian has the right categories menu.

Your WMPL plugins work incorrectly. Contact their support. As soon as you have created a page you should have such tab: http://prntscr.com/k0wask

Your pages do not have that. Blog page and other pages are translated by means of that tab, and then you synchronize menu. The same for posts and products.

Categories are translated in their edition Product > Category > Edit

I contacted a WMPL support and they’re looking for solution.

I read documentation and I saw thiw tutorial and did everything due to description. But I have again and again the same problem with menus. I have both menus for categories in russian and in hebrew. In frontend I have the correct category menu in russian, but in hebrew so as in english I have the correct name of this menu, but menu itself is wrong (mainmenu instead of categories). I tried to solve it many times, but I can’t find the right solution. That’s why I ask for help.

Which page is responsible for “shop”-homepage? Why I don’t have this homepage in frontend for further languages? A word “shop” is in both mainmenu correct translated.

How can I disable the popup window with a Newsletter registration, which appear, when I first open the website?

before I’ll do this, which position for this menu (categories) have I to choose? Because in your theme there is no position for this menu. Maybe it’s also the reason why it’s not work.

Your categories are translated and switched correctly, you have the problem with menu cause the pages are not translated have a look at the screen http://prntscr.com/k8i0kd

WPML does not work on pages. Your pages should have this tab: http://prntscr.com/k8i24l or this tab if the page has been translated: http://prntscr.com/k8i2gg

Switch to any default theme and check if you have these tabs on the default theme.

The problem may occur when you switch between themes in Appearance -> Themes is that widgets may lose their positions. It is a WordPress behavior and we are not able to fix this in our theme scope. Now, you need to go to Appearance -> Widgets and move all widgets to appropriate positions.
As a workaround, you can backup your widgets configurations using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-importer-exporter/

Here is the answer from WMPL Support:
“It looks like the configuration for page translation has been edited. On any page, we can see that the option for the page is marked for “Do not make ‘Pages’ translatable”. I’ll attach an image for you to see.

I selected the “Make ‘Pages’ translatable” option and the translation box is now being displayed. Please, could you check if your website is working properly?”

I an translate my pages now. But I still have the problem with “Categories”-menu, that only in russian is correct. In hebrew only the title is correct translated, but menu itself is main menu… Please help me to solve it!

In russian I have in the search line option to select a category, but I have in dropdown menu only one. How can I get all of my categories there? But in hebrew only “search for products” without dropdown menu. Why?

2. Browse Categories has the same menu as the Main menu does. If you want the product categories menu, create and assign accordingly Appearance > Menu

3. Following the instructions of WPML create translation and translate the content, synchronize menu after translation

That is what shop page is.

In order to change the background in the page heading enter the shop page editing mode and find options to set color http://prntscr.com/k99iux As you can see, you can set color or image on the background.
