christianburgerParticipantHi support,
The sorting by feature in my product archive is really slow. I first tried to sort it without reloading, probably AJAX feature. After 6 seconds or so it decides to reload the page, which takes another 6 seconds.
What can cause this?

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Please confirm the permission for plugins deactivation, and switching to the parent/default theme. As soon as we complete the testing we will enable all back. Also, please send access to the admin dashboard.
Looking forward to collaborating with you!
Kind Regards

christianburgerParticipantI will let you know when that is possible. I am currently up and running, can’t close my website for a few hours coming days.
Thanks in advance, will keep in touch in the near future

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
In this case, you can clone your website and move it to the staging platform so we can check it there.
Thanks for your patience. Hopefully, you are doing well.
Kind Regards

christianburgerParticipantHow can I do that Luke?
July 22, 2023 at 4:46 pm #483485
christianburgerParticipantWell, I found it. You can enter the staging through the link I added in the private content
I prefer the quickest loading time, if that is with Ajax or without

christianburgerParticipantTo be sure, I have also a problem with the filters in the sidebar.
July 22, 2023 at 5:48 pm #483497
christianburgerParticipantSorry, to explain things better. I have a problem with sorting/filtering in general with the product archive.
I disable quite a few plugins already to sort things out, but still no solution.
I prefer AJAX, but if you get better results without Ajax, that is also fine.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Seems that your server is not stable because on the default theme, we can see that site loads more than 2.5s and It’s not normal for the default theme. On the default theme, the page should load around 1s.
So you need to check what is wrong with the server because as you see it is not something caused by our theme.
Kind Regards

christianburgerParticipantOk, thanks for your reply. I e-mailed the support of my server/hosting. Let’s see what they say.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Ok, let me know the result.
Thanks for your time and have a great day.

christianburgerParticipantStill really busy with trying to find a solution.
However, one thing got my eye. While loading the homepage, the AJAX functionality (according to the waterfall on GT Metrix, check url) is taking quite some time. Any clue why?

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
For each menu item that has HTML Block enable the loading via AJAX in Appearance -> Menus: https://take.ms/xGWTJ
I’d be happy to assist if you have any other questions or concerns.
Kind Regards

christianburgerParticipantThanks for your reply!
Allright, turned them all on ‘Yes’. Let me check
July 26, 2023 at 4:43 pm #484374
christianburgerParticipantDidn’t helped that much, but if you say, it is better to leave it on ‘Yes’. I will keep it like that
July 26, 2023 at 5:26 pm #484392
Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
We have tested your website and after enabling “Load with AJAX”, the site started to work better: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.johnblockgolf.nl/27y7QYwz/
If I missed something, please let me know.
Kind Regards
July 26, 2023 at 9:22 pm #484416
christianburgerParticipantWell, after a few hours of work, I finally managed to make it workable. Still not perfect, but well, the filter function is not something you would avoid now.
However, I have another question. Check https://www.johnblockgolf.nl/product-categorie/golfclubs/
I added in the top 6 different categories. Those categories are loaded with Ajax. However, I would like to add the url of the actual category behind the image. For example, the first one (Driver), so like this: https://www.johnblockgolf.nl/product-categorie/golfclubs/driver/ instead of an Ajax call. Why would you probably ask. Well, the page (Driver) is preloaded by WP Rocket, so the landing time is like instant. You would and can never beat that with Ajax imo. So is there anything I could do to get that?July 27, 2023 at 12:45 pm #484543
Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Sorry but there is no way to change the AJAX URL, unfortunately, It requires Customization and this is beyond our limitations and support policy scope. Hope you can understand our limitations.
Kind Regards
